FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What Would You Like to Know?
WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLING IN SWIM CLASSES?
We welcome children aged 6 months and older to join our swim classes. We offer various programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels using the Swim England Learn To Swim Framework
HOW DO I REGISTERÂ FOR SWIM CLASSES?
Registration can be completed online through our website. Simply click "Book Lessons, you will then be taken to the Love Admin shop. You will then be required to fill out the necessary information and select the appropriate class. Follow the prompts to secure your child's spot in the desired class.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO SWIM LESSONS?
Please ensure your child wears a well-fitting swimsuit and goggles. Some pools require all swimmers to wear a swim cap for health and hygiene purposes. For babies and toddlers, reusable swim diapers are mandatory. It's also recommended to bring a towel and flip-flops for comfort.
We do recommend for ease to come dressed ready for your lesson as this will save you time.
HOW LONG ARE THE SWIM LESSONS, AND HOW FREQUENT ARE THEY?
Our standard swim lessons are 30 minutes in duration, held once or twice a week, depending on the chosen program. Class frequency is outlined during the registration process.
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON MAKEUP CLASSES OR REFUNDS FOR MISSED LESSONS?
Makeup lessons and refunds are assessed on a case by case basis. Should you need to cancel due to illness we will not be able to make that class up. Consistent attendance is crucial for your child's progress, and our instructors work hard to maintain a structured learning environment.
However, should a child have a long term injury ie 4 weeks or longer, we can offer a credit for the term they are able to attend.
We will keep a date free at the end of a term should we need to cancel a session. These dates are on the website under Term Dates.
CAN PARENTS OR GUARDIANS WATCH THE SWIM LESSONS?
For the optimal learning experience, we request that parents observe the classes from our designated viewing areas. This helps maintain focus and reduces distractions for both students and teachers as well creating a safe teaching environment.
At some venues, you are able to watch on poolside, and will be invited in by the pool coordinator once children and lessons have settled, and then asked to leave 5 mins before the end to allow the next class to get ready.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SWIM LEVEL IS APPROPRIATE FOR MY CHILD?
During the registration process, you will be asked to provide information about your child's swimming abilities. Our team will then assess and place your child in the appropriate level based on their skill set. If after the initial consultation we are unsure of which class your child should be in, we will offer a free trial lesson.
ARE THERE CHANGING FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR MY CHILD?
Yes, we provide changing rooms at all venues. Some venues however are not equipped with showers. Please ensure your child is changed and ready for class before entering the pool area.
DO WE NEED TO RE BOOK EVERY TERM?
Once you child is enrolled onto a course, he/she will receive priority booking for the next course. You will be automatically renewed for the following terms lessons, unless you inform us that you will not be attending. If you wish to move classes, please speak to us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Parking varies at different sites. For more details about parking, please see Venues which details more and uses What3Words for parking maps.Â
Please be mindful that some venues are based within a school grounds.
I HAVE JUST BOOKED A BABY AND TODDLER CLASS, WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
With these classes an adult will need to be in the pool to support the baby/toddler so please be prepared to get in.
You will both need swim suit and towel. For your child, please wear a swim nappy as extra protection. You may also want to bring along with you a portable changing mat as most venues are not equipped with baby changing facilities.
